Pendeta Digital: Transformasi Fungsi Pastoral di Era AI dan Society 5.0

Penelitian ini menganalisis transformasi fungsi pastoral dalam era Society 5.0, khususnya fenomena digitalisasi pelayanan gerejawi dan pergeseran peran pendeta dalam ruang digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fungsional melalui teori The Artifice of Intelligence dari Noreen Herzfeld, studi ini menyelidiki kesenjangan antara fungsi pastoral tradisional dan potensi pelayanan digital. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa meskipun AI memiliki kapabilitas teknis dalam mendukung pelayanan gereja, aspek-aspek fundamental seperti relasi interpersonal, pemahaman kontekstual, dan penyampaian pesan spiritual tetap membutuhkan sentuhan kemanusiaan. Transformasi digital menghadirkan urgensi redefinisi fungsi pastoral yang membutuhkan keseimbangan antara inovasi digital dan nilai-nilai fundamental pelayanan. Kesimpulannya, substitusi total peran pendeta oleh AI bertentangan dengan hakikat pelayanan pastoral yang menekankan relasi interpersonal dan spiritualitas manusiawi, sehingga diperlukan kerangka teologis yang jelas untuk mengatur integrasi AI dalam pelayanan gerejawi.
